Gemma isn't limited to a new window look. It is recommended to install the following additional components:

1) Gemma desktop background for 32,000 colors oder 16.7 Mio. colors

The Gemma desktop background picure features a new functional trisection (see introduction).

The archive includes an image for the desktop background and another one for the window background.

The file GEMMADSK.IMG is the desktop background that must be specified in the desktop preferences as the background picture (not pattern).. The picture is optimized for hi-color and true-color sreen depths (32k to 16.7 Mio. colors) and less attractive at 256 colors. The picture size is 1024x768 pixels; it can be cut at the left and upper margin to fit to smaller screens.

The file GEMMAWIN.IMG is a grey and white striped window background that must be specified as the pattern for directory windows.

2) Gemma start button for "Start Me Up!" (SMU)

The file START.RSC is a resource file for the program "Start Me Up!" (SMU) by Thomas Much.

The resource file has to be in the same folder as the program itself. It gives the start button a new look with a dark blue start area and a Fujiyama symbol to the right..

The accompanying readme file contains more information on how to configure the start button look and how to adjust it to the taskbar "Appline".

3) Glow icons by Pink Panther Produktion
